5-mile This trip is our most popular trip at River Rat's. It takes on average 3 hours to complete, though we do not give you a time limit. We do ask that you complete the trip by 6:00 p.m. The latest you can start this trip is 1:00 p.m. This trip starts at Mill Town below Lillard Mill and ends at River Rats where your vehicle is parked. Since you float back to your vehicle there is no waiting on us to pick you up.
9-mile This trip begins behind River Rats. The latest you can start this trip is 11:00 a.m. When you show up at River Rats we will have you sign a release form, then we will have you pull behind the building and down to the river where you can load up your canoe. This trip takes an average of 5 hours to complete, though there is no time limit. When you reach the end(Carpenter Bridge) you can call us on your cell phone or we can arrange a time to pick you up. There is one class II rapid one mile into this run. The rapid can be easily portaged on the right. There is a short video below of this section that was taken by some of our guest in 2007.
